Clifford Garnett is a Senior Associate Attorney at Welty, Esposito & Wieler, LLC, focusing his practice on family law, juvenile matters, and children’s probate issues throughout Connecticut. Admitted to the Connecticut bar in 2015, Clifford represents clients in all stages of divorce, custody, post-judgment, appellate, restraining order, and pre- and post-marital agreement matters, including high-net-worth and high-conflict cases.
While highly skilled in litigation, Clifford believes that many clients—and especially their children—are best served through thoughtful, tailored agreements whenever possible. His approach often includes collaborating with financial and mental health professionals and utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods, while remaining fully prepared to litigate cases that cannot be resolved amicably.
Clifford regularly serves as court-appointed counsel for minor children, frequently acting as a Guardian ad Litem, and has experience as a mediator helping parties resolve disputes outside of court. His work is grounded in listening first, cultivating mutual respect, and providing clear, practical guidance during what is often one of the most challenging transitions in a client’s life.

He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law and his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
