Michael (Mick) P. Judge is a seasoned family law attorney with nearly two decades of experience guiding individuals and families through life’s most complex transitions. In 2025, he joined the firm of Ligris to spearhead the launch of its Family Law Division, bringing his signature blend of strategic advocacy and compassionate counsel to this new and exciting chapter.
For over ten years, Mick has also served as an integral part of the Vesta organization, where his values align closely with Vesta’s mission of empowering individuals through divorce and beyond. He is deeply committed to client-centered advocacy, recognizing that legal challenges are not just technical matters but emotional journeys that require empathy and insight.
Known for his balanced approach—compassionate when needed, assertive when required—Mick is a trusted advocate whose clients value both his depth of understanding and his ability to achieve results through skilled negotiation and litigation. His practice spans all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, modifications, paternity, adoption, asset division, and 209A restraining orders. He also provides strategic pre-divorce planning and drafts pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Mick’s background includes successful representation of a wide range of clients—from business professionals and owners of closely held companies to law enforcement personnel and homemakers—across matters involving complex asset division, business valuations, inheritance, and domestic violence.
Before joining Ligris, Mick was a partner at Casner & Edwards and previously served as a partner at Burns & Levinson, as well as a senior associate at Mirick O’Connell, where he focused on family, civil, and criminal law. He began his legal career as a clinical intern in the Civil Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
