SPLIT – Seeing divorce through the eyes of children: Tips for helping your child(ren) navigate your divorce

Join Parent Coach Tanya Gurevich, LICSW, and Certified Health and Wellness Coach Lisa Dahl for a special viewing and discussion of the documentary “SPLIT: A Film about Divorce Through Kids’ Eyes.”

You are welcome to attend this event with or without your children.

The goal of this event is to come together as a community of people affected by separation or divorce to watch, ask questions, and share insight into the film. We will watch the film together during this interactive online zoom meeting. After the completion of the film, we will share our experience and takeaways from this impactful film.

SPLIT is a powerful 30-minute film that explores the inner world of kids as they find their way through the often frightening and always life altering separation of their parents.

SPLIT is intended to help parents understand the emotional needs of their children during divorce and help kids understand that they are not alone. Made exclusively from the children’s point of view with great honesty and courage, SPLIT reveals the difficult truth about how it feels when parents part. Using a combination of bold colors and enchanting animation, this film offers straight from the heart wisdom about tough topics such as:

• Guilt over mom and dad breaking up
• Worries about being fair
• Feeling caught in the middle
• Understanding what happened
• Going back and forth Meeting new people

This event will provide new insight on how to talk to your kids about divorce, with the opportunity to move forward with healing and hope.

You will have the opportunity to submit your questions in advance and/or during the LIVE Meeting.

If you are interested in attending and wish to maintain your privacy, we have set these up so you can attend confidentially. When you join the zoom meeting, you can select keeping your camera off. In addition, you can use just your first name for the name display.

There is no charge for attendance and advance registration is required.
